Social Justice Team

The Sacred Heart Social Justice Team bases itself on the motto of Australia's first Saint - St Mary of the Cross MacKillop.

Mary MacKillop is renowned for stating "Never see a need without doing something about it".

Student members of the Social Justice Team meet at the commencement of the school year to discuss their goals, with a focus on raising funds for Caritas, St Vincent de Paul and the local community, through various fundraising activities.

Social Justice team members participated in Shrove Tuesday, cooking and selling pancakes to the school community and raising funds for Caritas during Project Compassion.

In October and November each year the Social Justice Team lead the school in raising money for the Catholic Missions.
