Dear Parents and Carers,
Today, the exciting news I have also brings a little sadness regarding teachers who are moving on.
Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Burrell have taken up placements at St. Angela’s Warragul. Mrs. Williams will be the Deputy Principal, and Mrs. Burrell will be the Art Teacher.
Mrs. Pearson is coming back after her confinement leave, and Miss. Symons who was employed to replace her has secured a position at Morwell Central as the Performing Arts Teacher.
We have employed a new class teacher who will be introduced to the children on Tuesday, and Mrs. Inchincoli has increased her time at the school and will be working as a classroom teacher for some of her working load.
We celebrate with our staff who have made heart felt decisions in making choices for themselves and their families, and with those returning to us and extending their commitment to us. 2021 looks like a great year.
Our school captains spoke with positivity and made connection with the students who this year all had the opportunity to vote for their moist impressive speaker. At our second whole school Mass for the year we announced our school captains…
Emmy Andrews and Sophie Ross are the captains for 2021 and
Charlie Hillbrick and Goy Ruey are our vice captains.
The voting was very close with both Charlie and Goy being equally voted for.
Early next year we will have Sports Captain speeches, and the students in their house colours will have the opportunity to vote for their Sports captain.
I would also like to congratulate the students for their exemplary behaviour at The Summit Camp on Monday… Our RISE expectations were exhibited by all students throughout the day in some way or another. Some students tested their limits and others learnt theirs.
We look forward to Monday when we will visit Old Gippstown together to enhance our understanding of the history study we have completed in Term 4.
God Bless our Confirmation candidates who receive the Sacrament this evening, please pray for them as they continue their journey of Faith into adulthood.
God Bless you all and enjoy the weekend safely.
Anne-Marie Robb
We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and happy holiday.
Best wishes to the grade 6 students who will be leaving Sacred Heart Primary and moving onto secondary school.
