Good afternoon Sacred Heart Families,
Mid-Winter Greetings to you all.
Students Successes at Sacred Heart
We congratulate the Grade 5/6 students who made their way to the mixed Grade 5/6 netball at Division level. The students themselves told me they enjoyed the competition. The teachers also reported their positivity about the children’s interactions with the other teams and their sportsmanship overall.
Jolley Soles
Jolley Soles Sock fundraiser … please keep an eye out early next week for the Jolley Soles sock fund raiser which will be sent home then. The students have seen samples of the wonderful colourful socks that can be purchased to keep their chilly toes warm. All proceeds are going towards our new oval.
Aboriginal Families Afternoon Tea
Reminder to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Families that next week we have our biannual Aboriginal and Tores Strait Families Afternoon Tea. Please invite your Aunties and Uncles, Mum and Dad, Poppies and Grandmas. 2:00pm at the school in the Fish Bowl.
Online Platforms
Again, I ask all parents to be exceptionally vigilant with online platforms as children at school
age are not meant to be on them alone and most do not have the maturity to be able to self-
regulate without support from an adult. Please keep an eye on your child/ren’s interactions
on digital platforms.
Activities at Lunch
Some students have shown great initiative running clubs at lunchtime. At the moment Charlie from Grade 5 is coordinating an art club and would like to invite anyone interested to join her to create drawings or white board designs.
End of Term Reminder
Thursday 3 rd and Friday 4 th July are school closure days. The staff will be studying Religious Education priorities and learning about best strategies for different learning styles for students.
Blessing for the weekend,
Anne-Marie Robb
