Dear Sacred Heart Families,
HATS
As we are getting closer to the end of term and while we may still have some cooler days. The UV is high. All children will need a hat to play outside next week. We have got extra small, small large and extra-large (mediums will be here next term).
PRODUCTION / TIME MACHINE
The rehearsal of the production is hotting up, our kids are really excited about dancing and the Grade 5/6s who have auditioned for the speaking parts are doing a great job. Tickets for the evening which is Wednesday 16 th October will be on sale on tri-booking next week.
SOCIAL MEDIA
I continue to ask that all parents and care givers continue to monitor their students on digital platforms. Children in primary school have not yet developed the capabilities to self-regulate in this area of interaction.
LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL
Next week is the last week of school. With Wednesday being the last day, finishing at 3:00pm.
FOOTY COLOURS DAY
Children will be able to wear their favourite footy colours on Wednesday 18 th September and we would like to thank the PnF for shouting us hot chips for lunch on the day.
Blessings for the Weekend,
Anne-Marie Robb

This week
This week we had a day called “R U Ok? Day”. It's where you wear a splash of yellow and ask your friends "Are you OK?".
We had pizza today so hopefully all the children liked their food. Thanks to ZIO's pizza!!
We have been practising our plays, dances and dialogue for our school performance called "The Time Machine" The play looks amazing so far and everyone in all the classes have been doing spectacular.
Sports Updates
On Tuesday the students that passed district sports will be going on to division. We all hope they go well and pass that round too! Either way good luck to the 10 students that are going.
General Updates
We are almost at the end of term, with just 3 days next week left to go. We have an assembly on Wednesday (the last day) at 2:30pm and invite all parents to come watch.
Our office roof, as we all know, was broken in the storm last week. The builders have come to fix it but the office is still not in use since everything is wet and damaged. The teachers are now using the library and its going all good.

RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
The R.C.I.A (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program has commenced for the MorweJI Catholic Parish and Lumen Christi Parish. ff you know of someone who has expressed an interest in learning more about the Catholic faith or has expressed a wish to become a Catholic, please invite them to join the group. They may be waiting for someone to ask them and lead them to finding out about the Catholic Faith.
The group meets once a week, at 7.30pm, at the Sacred Heart Tennis Rooms. Currently, the day is Thursday, which may be negotiable. The next meeting is the 19th of September and a break for School holidays, restarting then on the 10th of October.
If you would like to find out more, please contact the Morwell Catholic Parish Office on 51342949.
The meetings are open to people who are not baptised and also to people who have been baptised in a Catholic or Christian Church and wish to receive Eucharist and Confirmation in the Catholic Church. The meetings are also open to those who may wish to reconnect with their Church communities after a time away.
